Seminar 8
This seminar is a bit different. Instead of discussing a question, we will discuss the essay plans of anyone who prepares on in advance and brings it to the seminar.
Tasks
- Select a question from Long Essay Questions,
- do the qesx quiz for that question,
- extend your learning as needed,
- and then prepare a plan for answering the question.

What Is a Plan?
For the purpose of the seminar, a plan:
- identifies a question for your long essay,
- states the thesis which your essay will aim to defend,
- provides the outline of a single, coherent argument for the thesis
- plus a short list of key sources.

Hint
Ensure that your plan specifies ideas and arguments in detail. A wishlist is not a plan.
